SEA ACTIVITIES
SURF
Isabela is the ideal location for surfers of all levels and
abilities. If you are a beginner or want to learn how to surf,
you can take surf classes or rent surf boards. For more advanced
surfers there are more advanced waves to ride. Isabela is an

KAYAKISMO
Isabela is the perfect place to kayak. You can paddle along
the coast to the spectacular visitor sites of Concha de Perla
and Las Tintoreras. Paddling in a kayak offers the visitor a
unique contact with nature where you can see white tip sharks,
penguins, sea lions, various species of sea birds and manta
rays in the peace and tranquillity of the ocean. Kayaks can
be rented in Puerto Villamil.
SNORKELLING
Snorkelling
is an excellent option for visitors who want to explore the
underwater world of Galapagos. This activity allows you to submerge
yourself in another atmosphere where you can swim with rays,
colourful tropical fish, white fin sharks and much more. Snorkelling
equipment can be rented in Puerto Villamil.
LAND ACTIVITIES
HORSE RIDING
You
can't come to Isabela without visiting our spectacular volcanoes.
The best way to visit our greatest tourist attraction is on
horse back. Galloping along the crater's edge and passing through
the various ecosystems while enjoying the diverse fauna and
flora Galapagos has to offer is an unforgettable experience.
TREKKING
There
are various trails for walking on the island starting with the
beautiful 3km sand beach. Trails can be found in Puerto Villamil,
the wetlands and in the highlands. Trekking is a great way to
get to know the unique, hidden pleasures of Isabela Island.
MOUNTAIN BIKING
Renting
a bike is a great way to explore the highlands - a little known
part of Galapagos. Cycling along the trails and passing the
homes of the original settlers and visiting farms allow you
a unique insight into the history and culture of Isabela. You
can also visit the wetlands and Puerto Villamil by bike. The
minimal amount of traffic on the island ensures an enjoyable
ride.
