LAND ACTIVITIES

HORSE RIDING

You can't come to Isabela without visiting our spectacular volcanoes. The best way to visit our greatest tourist attraction is on horse back. Galloping along the crater's edge and passing through the various ecosystems while enjoying the diverse fauna and flora Galapagos has to offer is an unforgettable experience.

TREKKING

There are various trails for walking on the island starting with the beautiful 3km sand beach. Trails can be found in Puerto Villamil, the wetlands and in the highlands. Trekking is a great way to get to know the unique, hidden pleasures of Isabela Island.

MOUNTAIN BIKING

Renting a bike is a great way to explore the highlands - a little known part of Galapagos. Cycling along the trails and passing the homes of the original settlers and visiting farms allow you a unique insight into the history and culture of Isabela. You can also visit the wetlands and Puerto Villamil by bike. The minimal amount of traffic on the island ensures an enjoyable ride.
